A Revista de Filosofia da Unisinos tem o prazer de receber submissões para o dossiê: Filósofas Modernas: Métodos, Problemas e Conceitos. Os artigos devem explorar o resgate das obras de filósofas modernas, apresentando suas contribuições para o desenvolvimento do pensamento filosófico, explorando seus argumentos e examinando o seu papel na formação da história da filosofia. Os autores devem explorar problemas ou conceitos filosóficos discutidos por filósofas do período moderno – incluindo-se os séculos dezesseis ao dezenove – da Europa, América do Norte, Ásia, África e América do Sul nas diversas áreas da Filosofia. 

As contribuições devem fazer uso acurado das fontes primárias e fornecer uma discussão argumentativa com a literatura secundária qualificada. Os editores também incentivam o debate acerca de questões metodológicas e metafilosóficas relacionadas ao resgate das obras de filósofas — por exemplo, o estatuto filosófico da história da filosofia, o método da história feminista da filosofia, a formação do cânone filosófico e a historiografia da filosofia. 

O periódico aceita artigos em português, espanhol e inglês. O(a) autor(a) deve ser doutor(a). O prazo para submissões é 10 de Abril de 2025. O volume será publicado em agosto de 2025. As instruções para os autores podem ser encontradas no site da Revista de Filosofia da Unisinos.

Call For Papers: Modern Women Philosophers: Methods, Problems, and Concepts

The Unisinos Journal of Philosophy invites submissions for the special issue Modern Women Philosophers: Methods, Problems, and Concepts. We welcome papers that explore the recovery and recognition of modern women philosophers, encouraging discussions on their contributions to philosophical thought, analysis of their arguments, and examination of their role in shaping the history of philosophy. The papers must explore philosophical problems or concepts discussed by women philosophers from the modern period — from the sixteenth to the nineteenth century — covering different areas and traditions of Philosophy or inaugurating new fields. We welcome contributions engaging with the works of women philosophers from Europe and North America, but also from Asian, African, and South American traditions. 

The contribution must engage with primary sources and provide an argumentative discussion of relevant secondary literature from the interpretative tradition. With this special issue, the editors would also like to encourage the philosophical community to engage with the international literature to explore methodological and metaphilosophical questions related to the recovery of women philosophers' works — for example, the intellectual status of the history of philosophy, the feminist history of philosophy, the formation of the philosophical canon and the historiography of philosophy.  

The Journal welcomes papers in Portuguese, Spanish, and English. The author must hold a PhD. The submission deadline is April 10th, 2025 and the special issue will be published in August 2025. Instructions for authors can be found here: Unisinos Journal of Philosophy.
