MEDICINA E FILOSOFIA HOJE: UMA APROXIMAÇÃO NECESSÁRIA PAARA AS CIDADES SAUDÁVEIS

Resumo:
O modelo de saúde como equilíbrio e doença como perturbação deste equilíbrio,associado ao modelo de ordem natural que governa as forças do universo e ordem jurídica que estabelece o que é justo e injusto, eram noções comuns ao discurso da filosofia natural e ao discurso da medicina hipocrática. Pretendo mostrar que estas noções continuam sendo importantes na organização das cidades, ao discutir o projeto de ‘cidades saudáveis’. Proponho incorporar uma dimensão ética ao discurso sobre estilos de vida saudável, à luz da doutrina kantiana da virtude dos deveres para consigo. Espero, a partir dessa nova dimensão, de caráter fortemente teleológico, aproximar novamente o indivíduo da cidade.
