Resumo:
O artigo analisa o Fedro à luz do descentramento progressivo que a última fase da obra platónica testemunha, relativamente à Atenas do séc. V a.C e da imagem de Sócrates nele cristalizada. A abertura para realidades sociais novas - no domínio do amor, da religião ou da retórica – bem como o interesse crescente pelos Bárbaros e pelos seus saberes, caracterizam o posicionamento dos últimos diálogos, simbolizado aqui na iniciativa de “sair fora das muralhas”.
