Resumo:

Os povos da civilização islâmica clássica viram Platão (Afl?t?n, Fal???n, Fl?t?n; raramente Afl??us ou Fal??us) como um dos “sete sábios” ou “mestres de sabedoria” da Grécia, segundo Ab? ’l-Fat? alShahrast?n? (m. em. 1153) no Kit?b al-Milal wa’l-Nihal (“Livro das Seitas e Credos”), ou, conforme Al? ibn Y?suf ibn al-Qif?? (m. em 1248) no Kit?b Ikhbar al-‘Ulama‘ bi Akhbar al-?ukama’ (“Livro das Notícias dos Eruditos com os Relatos dos Sábios”, mais conhecido como Ta'rikh al-?ukama’, “História dos Sábios”), um dos sete “pilares da sabedoria” junto com Tales, Anaxágoras, Anaxímenes, Empédocles, Pitágoras e Sócrates (ALON, 2006, p. 319).
