Resumo:

Em Eckhart, há uma correspondência direta entre a natureza divina e a natureza humana. Remetendo à tradição neoplatônica e à mística cristã medieval, a seguinte analogia é construída: se Deus é bondade, caberia ao homem ser maximamente bom, se Deus for justiça, caberia ao homem ser maximamente justo. Contudo, se Deus não pode ser “nem isto e nem aquilo”, nas palavras de Eckhart, pois a natureza divina é anterior a todo ser e além de qualquer definição de ser, também o homem há de buscar essa ausência de determinação em sua própria natureza e tornar-se maximamente desprendido de ser. O perfeito estar livre é a Abgeschiedenheit, traduzido também como desprendimento. Não se trataria apenas de um despojamento material, e sim de uma relação ontológica em que a alma humana para se assemelhar maximamente à deidade precisa reduzir-se a seu mesmo Nada. Um aparente paradoxo, o de ser nada, é o modo místico mesmo de expressar a relação de unidade entre a temporalidade, a multiplicidade, a finitude com a eternidade do Uno. A possibilidade dessa união seria a “alegria” humana por excelência, isto é, o transbordamento de sua natureza a partir de uma natureza maior. Reiner Schümann define o pensamento de Mestre Eckhart como uma “alegria errante”, por descrever o homem sem um modo definido e, por isto, no júbilo da abertura e da plenitude. O desprendimento em Eckhart seria um preenchimento de pura deidade, pois o Deus além de Deus transborda e se frutifica desde o seu ser na alma humana, e o Nada, que é a ausência de definição do ser, torna-se uma dinâmica de criação, um abismo de possibilidades.

Abstract:

In Eckhart, there is a direct correspondence between divine nature and human nature. Referring to the Neoplatonic tradition and medieval Christian mysticism, the following analogy is constructed: if God is goodness, it would be up to man to be maximally good, if God is justice, it would be up to man to be maximally just. However, if God cannot be “neither this nor that”, in Eckhart's words, because the divine nature is prior to all being and beyond any definition of being, man must also seek this absence of determination in his own nature and become maximally detached from being. The perfect freedom is Abgeschiedenheit, also translated as detachment. It would not be just a matter of material deprivation, but an ontological relationship in which the human soul to resemble the deity maximally needs to be reduced to its very Nothing. An apparent paradox, that of being nothing, is the mystical way of expressing the relationship of unity between temporality, multiplicity, finitude with the eternity of the One. The possibility of this union would be the human “joy” par excellence, that is, the overflow of its nature from a greater nature. Reiner Schümann defines Mestre Eckhart's thinking as a “wandering joy”, for describing man without a defined way and, therefore, in the joy of openness and fullness. The detachment in Eckhart would be a fulfillment of pure deity, because the God beyond God overflows and bears fruit from his being in the human soul, and Nothingness, which is the absence of definition of being, becomes a dynamic of creation, an abyss of possibilities.
